PHILANTHROPIC ADVISING

Intracoastal works directly with individuals, families, foundations, and nonprofits to navigate successful and impactful philanthropy. Genuine philanthropy is more than charitable giving- it is not an afterthought, but something consciously mapped in advance. Thoughtful philanthropy helps both donors and organizations bring about meaningful and effective change. As philanthropic advisors, our unique position allows us to bring together an in-depth knowledge of the needs in the field with social investors whose passion dictates a direct response to those needs.

FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES

As your guide on your philanthropic journey, we offer individually tailored research and information, guidance, and related services to our clients in every aspect of their successful multi-generational generosity. From identifying your core individual or family values to impactful social investments, we are ready to guide you through each step of the process as you build your legacy. By working directly with our clients, and consciously listening and responding, we develop philanthropic strategies that identify and then reflect the core values of the client. We help families navigate challenges and provide them with opportunities to engage with one another around issues and causes. We then provide the roadmap to connect the client’s concerns within the community and identify ways their generosity can make impactful change.

FOR FOUNDATIONS

Recognizing that grantmakers are only successful if their grantees are achieving meaningful results, our customized approach for foundations guides the client through designing and implementing grantmaking strategies that are aligned with the client’s goals and interests.  Utilizing the best up-to-date information in your particular field of interest, we help you identify your philanthropic mission, define or redefine objectives and desired outcomes, and construct an innovative and practical model for achieving your goals.

FOR NONPROFITS

Today’s nonprofit organizations face new and unique challenges including the increased levels of accountability and transparency required both by law and today’s more involved donors. As neutral observers, we help our nonprofit clients identify barriers to their success and construct tactical plans to strengthen their organization and develop better relationships with their funding partners. From educating your board to practice good governance and coaching your senior executives, to developing outcome-based measurement tools and solid program descriptions, we guide your organization through the process of increasing effectiveness and sustainability.
